To compliment a great comic there should always be a very good yearly annual. And some were even better than great. Stories would be longer, well over a hundred pages on most and it was nice to see characters in glorious colour.

Christmas was a great time for me. I could hide away while the Queen was giving her annual address. I would gladly miss The Wizard Of Oz - all for the best reading from the best British comics.
